Sandy was born in 1949 and lived in South Africa until 1977. She was trained as a social worker, working for first with youth groups in SOWETO. She then trained as a psychiatric social worker in Cape Town, working with families, groups, children and adults, finally in a psychiatric diagnostic ward (Groote Schuur Hospital).
She was married (husband died 1997) and now has 3 married sons, 3 daughters-in-law (Norwegian, South African and Brazilian), and soon will have 7 grandchildren. She lives in Schwerzenbach (near the Greifensee) with her old cat!
For over 20 years she has been a practicing Jungian analyst and licensed psychotherapist in Bergstrasse 118, Zurich.
For many years she worked delegated but now privately. She has been with ISAP since the beginning, serving 4 years on the OC (now IC) as Director of Admin. She has been involved with the Counselling Service, and is now on the Admissions Committee. At ISAP she is a TA/SA.
