Eleonore Lehr-Rottmann was born and educated in Germany. She received her M.Ed. and doctorate in Human Development from the Institute for Child Study at the University of Maryland. As NIH Visiting Fellow she worked on a longitudinal Study of Aging; following she was at the University of Constance, doing research on midlife and lecturing on a range of topics concerning developmental issues during the life cycle.

In 1998 she completed her training at the C.G. Jung-Institut in Küsnacht with the Diploma in Analytical Psychology for Children, Adolescents and Adults. She teaches at the International School of Analytical Psychology Zurich, where she is a training analyst. She has a private practice in Constance, Germany.
