We shall discuss what the sibling situation does to our psychic development. (Being an only child is also a sibling situation!) We shall address it as „our first socialisation“, between the siblings in regard to the child-parents relationships and what effects this has on our later life.
Ich und meine Geschwister – meine Geschwister und ich
Wir werden diskutieren, wie sich die Geschwistersituation auf unsere psychische Entwicklung auswirkt. (Einzelkind sein, ist auch eine Geschwistersituation!) Wir werden das Thema als „unsere erste Sozialisierung“ diskutieren – zwischen den Geschwistern und bezogen auf die Eltern-Kinder- Beziehungen und wie dies unser späteres Leben prägt.

hroughout history, music has been a ubiquitous part of human cultural activity, often closely linked to experiences of the numinous and the sacred. This module explores understandings of the nature of music in a range of cultural contexts, especially as a manifestation of the archetypal realm and of an underlying cosmic order. The lectures will be illustrated with examples drawn from Ancient Greek and Chinese philosophical writings as well as myths and fairy tales.

The Simpleton is the hero of many fairy tales. He also appears in classical literature and has become since a few decades a recurrent figure in cinema. It is as if the theme were particularly constellated for our time. The first part of the seminar will present archetypal patterns characteristic of simpleton stories. In the second part students will be invited to do an active imagination aiming at internalizing the different figures involved in a simpleton story and giving it a meaning in their individual psyche.
